This is a two day, online, instructor led, class. Class will run from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm, eastern, each day, with lunch and periodic breaks. Students will receive download instructions and/or links for any relevant materials or software.
This course is intended to introduce the attendee to the various different cellular networks, (AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile and Sprint) and what is available from each of the Mobile Network Operators. The course will begin with taking the cellular number, and identifying the carrier, regardless if it is a prepaid or postpaid account. Next the attendee will be familiarized with the types of data each network can supply, and how to interpret the data, to include when the phone was turned off, calls were forwarded, voicemails and so on. The class with then cover how to map the locations in the records, and create a forensic mapping for trial. Other topics will include how to identify ownership of prepaid devices, identifying networks for “burner” phones, and more.
